Heard of the term Nouveau Riche to describe those who recently won the lottery or had a booming business? The term refers to those that have recently become rich (while previously poor), and is french for ‘new rich’. There’s the popular fairytale stories of Cinderella where the poor maid becomes a princess overnight, or Snow White who unknowingly was a Princess. Or real stories such as Oprah, Bill Clinton, Elvis, who have started with nothing, and then became one of the most influencial people worldwide. Some people get there through talent (and a little bit of luck) like Elvis, while others are purely lucky, like winners of a lottery, or inheritance of a long distant relative.
